The B’nai Mitzvah can include Hebrew prayer, Torah and Haftarah chanting, speech writing and oration, traditional and modern intrepretations, and music.

I often work with unaffiliated and interfaith couples seeking to include Jewish ritual in their wedding ceremony.
Ritual Leading
I can create and lead your memorial, funeral, and shiva service. I will meet with your family and together we will create a service to honor your loss.
I have experience leading ritual gatherings in living rooms and backyards, as well as in synagogues and giant halls.

Rosie was a thoughtful and collaborative guide as we designed our wedding ceremony. She explained Jewish ritual, asked us how that fit into our practice and how we conceived of our wedding, then helped us tailor our ceremony from there. She patiently listened to us tell the stories of our relationship, our families, and our lives together, and incorporated those, meaningfully, into what she said on our wedding day. We didn’t know what to expect with an officiant for our wedding. We were so concerned we wouldn’t find someone as relaxed as we both were in our religions. We wanted to have an easy going wedding and mix our Jewish and Catholic religions without being too stuffy or too relaxed. We were SO pleased with Rosie. She asked so many questions we wouldn’t event think of! Rosie really takes the time to find out who we were as a couple, how religious/non religious we wanted to be. The timing of everything, humor, seriousness... she takes everything into account. Our ceremony was so wonderful. We can’t recommend her enough! This past year, the mother of one of Rosie’s students lost her battle with cancer. SIJCC is this family’s primary community, and we are a community without a rabbi. However, in Rosie this family saw a rabbi—a teacher, a Jewish role model, a sacred space builder and holder. The family asked Rosie, who would officiate their son’s Bar Mitzvah in a few months, to officiate the funeral. Not only did Rosie do this beautifully, but she was able to gracefully transition and journey with the family from holding a space of mourning to a space of celebration as they moved forward with the Bar Mitzvah preparations. This was not an easy task, and it is not one that many could execute with the levels of compassion, grace, understanding and seamlessness that Rosie was able to.
